Biomedical Sciences Enrichment Program (BISEP)

The Biomedical Sciences Enrichment Program (BISEP) is a six-week program that prepares rising sophomores for upper division coursework and undergraduate research in the biomedical sciences. The goal of this program is to increase the number of students pursuing research-based careers.

Caltech Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)

The Caltech Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) offers upper division undergraduate students with outstanding academic potential the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects. The programs are designed for students who wish to learn more about the graduate school experience and possibly pursue an academic career in teaching and research.

CSUN-UCLA Stem Cell Scientist Training Program

The CSUN-UCLA Stem Cell Scientist Training Program funds full-time immersion internships, allowing CSUN students to conduct independent research under the guidance of esteemed UCLA Broad Stem Cell Research Center faculty who are leaders in the field of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.

The Pre-Med Summer Scholar (PMSS) is designed for students who wish to gain experience and insight into the medical field. It includes a Healthcare Professions Panel, JCCC Shared Resource lab tours, and tours of the UCLA campus and hospital.

UCLA CTSI Research Associates Program (CTSI-RAP)

The UCLA CTSI Research Associates Program (CTSI-RAP) provides undergraduate UCLA students with the opportunity to gain exposure to hospital-based medicine as well as clinical research in an academic medical center.

The UCLA Center for Community College Partnership (CCCP). The CCCP works to support community college students from underrepresented communities to transfer to 4-year institutions. CCCP STEM Initiative provides programming, support, and outreach to underrepresented STEM students enrolled at California Community Colleges.

UCLA School of Dentistry R25 Undergraduate Training Research Program. Is a NIDCR/NIH program to address the need in dental, oral and craniofacial science for researchers and practitioners from diverse backgrounds with strong data science skills.

UCLA Summer Programs for Undergraduate Research (SPUR)

The UCLA Summer Programs for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) offer upper division undergraduate students with outstanding academic potential the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects. The programs are designed for students who wish to learn more about the graduate school experience and possibly pursue an academic career in teaching and research. Opportunities are available in virtually all academic fields (e.g., arts, humanities, social sciences, life sciences, health sciences, physical sciences, etc.)
